A note on durability
Durability is produced by systems, not by stories.
A story about performance survives until the first hard question. A system survives the question.
Durability is not produced by narrative. It is produced by the same measurement, on the same cadence, in good quarters and bad — a discipline you can read by what it leaves behind.
We would rather hold to compound than narrate. The numbers do the talking; durability is what remains when the talking stops.
